New Faculty Orientation
As new Bobcat faculty, we invite you to participate in our New Faculty Orientation (N.F.O.) program. This event is exclusively for benefits-eligible faculty (75%-100% FTE). Newly hired faculty, faculty who have not previously been eligible for TXST benefits, or faculty returning after an extended absence should plan to attend. Faculty who are eligible to attend will receive an invitation directly to their personal and university email addresses.
During this event, Human Resources will provide ways to help you familiarize yourself with TXST before, during, and after your first day as a Bobcat employee.
The New Faculty Orientation course provides an overview of benefits, payroll, Bobcat culture, and other essential information to help you get started at Texas State University. Human Resources encourages you to review this course prior to attending New Faculty Orientation so you can arrive prepared and make the most of your experience.

PARKING?
Parking Permits for New Full-Time Staff and Faculty
As a new full-time, benefits-eligible staff or faculty member, you can purchase your parking permit before your first day of employment.
A step-by-step user guide is available to help you through the process.
If you do not see the Faculty/Staff (Red) Academic Yr parking permit option, please follow the instructions in this user guide to obtain a temporary parking permit while your access is being processed.

New Faculty Orientation (N.F.O.)
Starting in Fall 2023, Human Resources will be facilitating N.F.O. for all benefits-eligible faculty. We will be sending important new hire information including parking, N.F.O's location and time, benefits and insurance, and other information. We will also collect necessary information to help prepare for your time at Texas State.

New Tenure-Track Orientation (N.T.T.O.)
Faculty Success emails all new tenure-track faculty information regarding NTTO, which takes place in August every fiscal year. Attendance is expected for all new tenure-track faculty and those who were previously in a nontenure line position and hired this year to a tenure-track position.
This required session is in addition to attendance at New Faculty Orientation, and focuses on familiarizing you with policies, procedures, and practices that will help you be successful in progressing toward tenure.
