  • All Texas State employees are required to review the New Employee Notices website within the first 30 days of employment.  

    • Veterans Employment & Support
    • Disabled Veteran Parking Permit – Veterans with a service-connected disability are exempt from paying parking permit fees. You must always register your vehicle with Parking Services, and obtain, and properly display, a Texas State physical or virtual parking permit.  Specific documentation is required. Contact Parking Services for details.
    • Veteran Health Care Leave – If you receive care through the VA during your working hours, this time should be logged as Veteran Health Care Leave (as opposed to Sick Leave, which you would use if receiving care from a civilian provider). Contact our Benefits team if you have questions.
