Step into your leadership journey with Texas State’s first-ever Supervisor Development Day!

Texas State’s first Supervisor Development Day is designed to provide supervisors at every level with complimentary in-person sessions covering a range of leadership topics, including communication, time management, conflict resolution, and employee relations. 

In addition to learning from leadership experts, participants will have the opportunity to discover effective strategies for navigating common supervisory scenarios in a Q&A session with the Human Resources' Employee Relations team. The event is honored to feature David Yebra as the keynote speaker, who will present his expertise and experiences in leadership, providing valuable insights for higher education professionals.

This event is limited to 75 participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. Participants must have at least one direct report in order to register.

David Yebra

Keynote Speaker: David Yebra

David Yebra serves as the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Veterans Officer at Lone Star College. A retired U.S. Army officer and former Director of the Training and Leader Development Division for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, he is a nationally respected leader in veteran support, leadership development, and organizational strategy. Yebra brings more than 35 years of experience across military, higher education, and public service, and has designed nationally recognized leadership development programs at Sam Houston State University. He holds a master’s degree in counseling and Leader Development from Long Island University. At the Supervisor Development Day, David will present “Promoting Growth & Development,” sharing practical insights on leadership and professional growth. We are honored to welcome him as our keynote speaker and look forward to an inspiring day together.
