Student Scholarship
Since 2017, the LGBTQIA Endowed Scholarship at Texas State University has been awarded to recipients from diverse backgrounds and majors.
The LGBTQIA Endowed Scholarship represents the progress and change that has occurred at our University. It is the first of its kind and amplifies our tenacious, resilient, and activist student leaders.

The scholarship was created by Alliance at Texas State University and the Texas State University LGBTQIA Alumni Chapter.
Recipients are full-time undergrads selected by a committee designated by Alliance at Texas State.
Thanks to many generous donors, the scholarship became endowed in 2019 to ensure the scholarship will impact the lives of all current and future Bobcats forever.

Our Funding
Establishment
Funding for this scholarship was established through the Bobcat Pride Scholarship Fund, a local 501(c)(3) organization.
Bobcat Pride Scholarship Fund (BPSF) was founded in 2010 by Texas State alumni and friends as they recognized the progress Texas State had made towards the inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community, yet the lack of resources to support LGBTQIA+ Bobcats.
In September 2018, BPSF's leadership donated $25,000 to Alliance to endow the first TXST scholarship for LGBTQIA+ students, guaranteeing scholarship opportunities for Bobcat students indefinitely!
