Health Insurance Marketplace Notice

The Health Insurance Marketplace Notice is being provided to you as a requirement of the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  Click download for a copy of this notice. The Health Insurance Marketplace is for people who do not have affordable employer-based insurance, insurance enrollment in another plan such as through a spouse or parent, or whose insurance does not meet the minimum value standard of the ACA.

You are not required to take any action if you are enrolled with Texas State insurance provided through the Texas Employee Group Benefits Program (GBP) and administered by the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) as it exceeds the minimum value standard of the Affordable Care Act.

ERS has posted on their website a frequently asked questions page about the impact of the ACA on GBP.  In addition, the Summaries of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) for ERS health plans provides an overview of the benefits and services for your health plan and what you can expect to pay for such services.

If you do not have health insurance or you waived GBP coverage, you can decide if you need to sign up through the exchange.

For information about the Health Insurance Marketplace, please download the Health Insurance Marketplace Notice and visit the following website www.HealthCare.gov.
